Nokia Lumia 1020 vs Xperia Z1 (Honami)

I saw some links to some comparisons between the new Sony Xperia Z1 and the 1020. I didn’t have a decent connection at the time so I didn’t get to see the pictures in full but that Sony orientated blog source seemed to push the Z1 as the winner (of course, no comparisons in low light, moving objects for Xenon). More recently I think Sony’s PR people, the PRetend team for make.believe supposedly posted comparisons whereby the Z1 shots are on a tripod. Well, when you’re in real life, what proportion of your shots are on a tripod? Exactly.

My connection is still pretty terrible but it was enough to load up some of these pics that show that, yeah, the Z1 is admittedly a great camera phone. But it doesn’t trample the 1020 as some suggests and it doesn’t render the 1020 useless.

I can’t seem to find the other links at the moment. I’m sure there were plenty of other comparisons too. (Not all the pics would even load atm for my data connection is terrible)
