Lumia Amber/GDR2 Finally Rolling Out to At&t Branded Lumias Today!
For some unknown reason At&t has taken forever to approve the Lumia Amber update for release on their network, breaking Nokia’s promise to have it available on all devices by September’s end. However it seems the day has finally arrived as an At&t spokesperson announced that the update should be available starting today.
An AT&T community manager has confirmed that the carrier has completed its testing of Nokia’s Amber update, which includes Microsoft’s General Distribution Release 2 (GDR2) software update, and it plans to roll it out to devices starting today.
“We expect Microsoft to make the update available beginning 10/10,” says the AT&T community manager.
So if you’re an At&t user who has been on the edge of his/her seat for this, wait no longer (hopefully); check your phone for the update (under settings) and cross your fingers.
