Nokia’s big screened Nokia Lumia 1520 goes up against LG’s Nexus 5 and G2. This goes through the usual set of design, screen, camera, performance and price.

Just a little thing that’s on my mind with these comparisons:

Again, I don’t quite get the point of saying “on paper one screen has more detail” when both have the same resolution, neither is pentile (Nexus 5/Lumia 1520/G2 all have IPS LCD), you’re both showing the same amount of information on the same screen! The only difference perhaps would be that the larger device on such a high res screen would require less zooming in.

Every comparison about screen talks about the darn pixel density and thus with higher pixel density having more detail. You’re showing the same information on screen! Am I missing something here but why does he keep pointing this out and not something actually that makes a difference like, say screen visibility outdoors? They even state each time that they can’t tell the difference. Well duh!

If I have a 15″ 1080p monitor and a 16″ 1080p monitor of the same screen tech, the 15″ isn’t displaying more detail!
