Jonni has managed to hack his Jolla’s Other Half, in a way that adds wireless charging. In the picture above, you can see it featured with the Nokia Fatboy Charging Pillow, with the UI showing that charging is taking place. He has posted to TMO about how he has acheived this, so if you’re feeling adventurous with your new Sailfish device, read on to find out how you can get this functionality too!

Its fairly straight forward an involves purchasing an induction charging coil, mounting it to the housing and connecting it. It is the first “prototype” and Jonni has stated that he believes that wireless charging can be made more efficient by finding a coil that supports the 1000mAh limit of the device’s charging pins.

We’ll keep an eye on this and let you know how it develops!
