The above email exchange between Microsoft employees is arguably the first leaked screenshot of what Microsoft is calling Action Center, just like Android and IOS, it’s accessed by a swipe down from the top, and it’ll present four customizable quick settings buttons. (Which makes the picture bellow a lot more credible)

If you’re within an app the Action Center will not show notification immediately, instead a blue bar will show up that requires your interaction to show them, the source claims that this is to prevent accidental app launches during games.

The exchange also describes some kind of ghost notifications for less than important apps, where developers could push notifications even alter or delete them without alarming you, which sounds like a good idea for games, fitness apps, weather & etc.

Another lovely addition is the battery percentage bellow the battery icon, yet another highly requested feature gets added in an elegant non intrusive way.

Personally I can’t wait for the quick settings shortcuts, how about you?
