Another step closer to Nokia Morph? Nokia’s shown off flexible displays in the past, both in concept and at Nokia World a few years ago. Today, Advanced Film Device (a subsidiary of  Semiconductor Energy Laboratory) and Nokia Corp developed a display that you can fold 2 or three times whilst still showing a video.

This allows the display to be folded like a book.   See the images here.  The panels are 5.9″ 720p displays, bending up to a “curvature radii of 2mm and 4mm” and up to more than 100,000 times.

I like the design where the edges are screens. Kinda like the GEM concept.

Thanks Peter for the tip!
