According to DxOMark, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the top smartphone camera. But the Nokia 808 PureView still remains the best smartphone in imaging quality over 2 years later!

Credit where due, when Sammy’s isocell was first rumoured, it did seem to be something to fear. Considering the dimensions of the device, that’s a remarkable thing to pull off. There are of course additional help by new software and better hardware, e.g. video category. At the end of the day, the whole package, camera, and smartphone part – these flagship Droids are really something to think about.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 from 2013 needs its successor and quickly. It wasn’t going to be long before Androids catch up and according to DxOMark’s results, both the Z2 and S5 best it. AndroidAuthority is pretty pleased that this year’s Android flagship is beating last year’s Lumia camera. But, as a comment points out, this is from DxOMark’s testing methods. Other experts may show otherwise.
