It’s not officially official, but Peter Bright from Ars Technica adds more backing to the claims of Android apps on Windows Phone.

Whilst in the short burst it might seem a good thing for consumers, to the whole WP/Windows Ecosystem, it might spell something sour for the WP developers.

Where would Nokia (MM) get their apps from? Similar story with Nokia X and the myriad of hit and miss stores? Possibly they could jump on the FirePhone wagon with Jeff.

How could Microsoft implement this so it doesn’t crash and burn the way the comments on reddit are expecting?

One person suggested that it might be the other way around and that MS might be developing something that turns the Android handsets to a Windows Phone. :/ Like a launcher? e.g. Jolla Sailfish for Android? But some how solve the app thing so that apps from both stores would be accessible?
