In a shootout to the death, 6 enter but only one leaves. Comparing 6 devices, GSM Arena examines each aspect of mobile photography and crowns the Nokia Lumia 1020 from last year as the winner against the newer flagships (- iPhone).

Nokia’s imaging know how is unparalleled. And do think Nokia had already achieved this level if not more with the 808 in some aspects.

The Nokia performs superbly in natural light, low light, low light with flash and even somehow tops the HDR section for dynamic range even though it doesn’t have this feature.

Areas for improvement include panorama and video. Whilst audio recording remains an untouchable Nokia experience, the rest of the competition are pushing the boat with higher resolution videos. Their low light video still wins but hopefully we see (or not as most don’t have that type of screen to appreciate it) an improvement in the 1020’s successor.
