Huawei’s boss Richard Yu talked a bit publicly about competing OSes and the future of Huawei, regarding Samsung’s homegrown Tizen OS he said it “no chance to be successful”, and they won’t perusing that route for the time being. In terms of Windows Phone where they already have two devices on the market he said “it has been difficult to persuade customers to buy a Windows phone” with Huawei’s Windows Phone division not making any profit in the past two years.

That said Huawei will be out of the Windows Phone game for the time being, presumably until the tides shift, which could be soon; until then they’ll be sticking with Android.
