HERE Maps Comes Free to Samsung Galaxy Phones; Brings Offline Navigation and Smartwatch Support
Earlier we reported that HERE maps would be powering Tizen smartwatches, now according to a post by the HERE team, HERE maps and all their navigating power will be available for free on Samsung Galaxy devices. Nokia (the part that owns HERE), struck a licensing deal with Samsung to bring the HERE maps and navigation apps to Samsung galaxy devices, as well as their “Samsung Gear S” device to give you navigation directions at a glance. The app seems to have all the capabilities of the Windows Phone version including offline map storage and navigation to keep your data consumption to a minimum.
