Cyanogenmod is self described as an aftermarket OS that delivers features on Android that are not found on the official Android. With Nokia X, Microsoft’s brief play in Android ramping down, what could be the interest in getting the developers from Cyanogenmod?

A subscription is needed to view the original source article, but it seems MS CEO had a chit-chat with the Cyanogen peeps.

  1. A rethink of what Nokia X should be?
  2. More customisable WP?
  3. Maybe get that team to make the Google apps that Google aren’t too bothered about when it comes to sharing it on WP.
  4. What if it’s part of the rumours to help get Android apps to WP?
  5. What about getting WP on Android devices to help OEMs get WP on to similar shells (e.g. HTC One) or even better,
  6. direct to customers too who have Android handsets already but could refresh them with WP.
