LIST ONE DRIVE

OneDrive user? Office 365 Subscriber? If so, you can get UNLIMITED storage with OneDrive! They previously offered 1TB storage which is why I signed up for the 4 year student one. But now in the coming months, Microsoft are rolling out unlimited storage.

You can get in front of the queue by going on ‘The List’.

For most people they might not even reach 1TB so ‘unlimited’ is a non issue. It just sounds better perhaps. There’s value however in knowing you can put as much up there as you like.

As mentioned by OneDrive peeps, the value isn’t so much in the amount of storage but when it’s tightly integrated with our tools for communication, creation, and consumption of media.

The only issue for me is when I sync files, I can’t truly sync my online content with, say, my mac or now even my PC as I don’t have enough free space. It’s easy enough to choose which folders get synced but having files already there is much more convenient. I guess one solution could be improved web interface where the OneDrive file browser really feels like Windows with Windows like options (such as selecting multiple files by dragging).
