Guide to hacking your Symbian – ‘JailBreak’

Symbian 808As we push into 2015, a few of us may be reminded of that once promise of Symbian support until 2016. That ended much earlier than expected leaving much of the community to go it alone in limited confines.

Steve Litchfield found some instructions posted by the Symbian-Developers blogpost from 2013. This provides some extra freedom, when successful, to your symbian device.

I haven’t done this myself. Usual warnings with regards to tinkering with your device. Not that we’d worry about invalidating the warranty anymore, more so that you might break your device and there’d be few places to fix it.
