It looks like high end offerings for an entry level price is getting swooped up. I’m very much inclined to get this too and not just because I have to get this Nokia tablet. There are too many good things going for it for me:

  • Nokia name – a must for a Nokia nerd. Especially since we thought we wouldn’t see any more Nokia consumer devices.
  • High end specs
  • Aluminium, nice looking design
  • Very well priced.
  • Performs like a trooper on benchmark
  • Android – well this is something that I’m still trying to learn. I think I might have a better time on non Samsung Hardware (just because Touchwiz really does ruin everything).

Supposedly, the first 20,000 units have been sold in FOUR minutes. It says something about involving over half a million – are those interested consumers?

This tablet could do really well if demand continues. That’s already 5 million USD gross there. If it does become very successful, it might get people questioning again of what Nokia could have achieved if they chose to go the Android root from the beginning.

Fingers crossed Jolla can get somewhere close to this. It might be a bit tougher as their tablet is slightly less expensive and runs an unfamiliar OS under an unfamiliar name.
