Will you update? Windows 10 Free upgrade (Windows 7, Windows 8.1, WP8.1)
Yesterday, MS announced that the Windows 10 Upgrade will be free for the first year. I’ve been hesitant to even stray away from Windows 7 from my current ancient Acer gaming desktop (simply because any changes to this awful Acer hardware makes it die quicker) but I’m really intrigued about Windows 10 – perhaps it could utilise the hardware a bit better? If I like it enough, I’ll be saving up for a new Windows10 desktop.
Whether you’re on Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows 7. It’s currently FREE for the first year which should definitely increase adoption to the update (possibly picking up money from services like office instead?). I’m guessing after the 1 year, it will continue being free anyway. The 1 year thing just makes you want to get the upgrade in ASAP.
I might actually try today. 🙂
