Knowing where their efforts lie, Microsoft continue to update their lockscreen experience for Android. The Garage project for WindowsPhone however is retired.

Next lockscreen can hide the pin or pattern as well as bug fixes and performance improvements.

Design wise, Tetra lockscreen’s various lock options look a whole lot better than the Microsoft Next lockscreen for Android. The latter however is quite functional on my Note 4 and each update is welcome.

As Viipottaja hinted, Tetra might rear its head as closer to default lockscreen options in W10. Plus for some users it didn’t work properly anyway.

Cheers Alvester for the tip!
