Here-DriveWhat’s this about. Nokia’s direction was pulled quite strongly in the direction of mapping. Part of the reasons to focus away from Android initially was so their own mapping solutions could be used instead of google’s. Bloomberg reported on some rumours that they might sell their mapping business.

Navteq was originally bought for 8 billion. The Register says HERE is currently worth between 2-4 billion. Who might buy them? Microsoft? Facebook?

Cheers crisscross and Alvester for the tip!
