Nokia “6” with Dolby Atmos

| January 8, 2017 | 8 Replies

Not sure if this is legit or not, but above is apparently one of the upcoming Nokia devices.

The 5.5″ variant with 1080p is said to sport octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 64 bit, 5.5-inch Full HD screen and 4 GB RAM.

There’s Dolby sound too in the form of Dolby Atmos for what I’m assuming is for a 3D sound experience. It was first seen mobile wise on the Fire HDX 8.9 and Lenovo’s A7000.

Now the 64GB storage – is that in built plus microSD or via MicroSD?

It’s a good set of specs, a strong mid-ranger.

Cheers  for the tip!

Might be better to link to the original source

Jay, and Nova, I did a little detective work to see who owns this site and if it is trust worthy…

My conclusion is based on my opinion and some discrepancies I noticed.

Reasons I think it is fan made or click bait are as follows:
(but I could be totally wrong)

      1. Site hmdglobal is registered with godaddy
      2. Site was created a week AFTER hmd was announced in connection to Nokia
      3. It expires only a year later. I would assume a multi national global company would by rights to the domain for a minimum of 3-5 years, if not 10!
      4. Scroll to the bottom, and it says 2016, for the copywright part. Today it is 1/7/2017… No global corporation would let this lapse …

Jay, rusty, jiipee, janne, love nokia, zultor, what are your views on this?

Could this be a very well thought out and convincing fan made site?

Oh… And I have a zte zmax 2 that incorporates Dolby digital atmos sound and it is really good!!! The sound reproduction and fidelity and clarity of spoken words are truly amazing.

No, it’s not a fake site. HMD’s official twitter page links to that website. It has information including press images that aren’t available elsewhere.

I suspect it is just a poor web developer who didn’t have the year auto updating.

I want to know you thoughts on Nokia 6 😛 and i think hmdglobal.com isn’t a fake site if you go to their twitter page even there they have the same link. I don’t think they will be impressed by a fan made site to make it their own. 😛 plz share your thoughts on Nokia 6 i am waiting.. 😛

Okay, here are my preliminary thoughts. I have seen one YouTube video (about 7 times) and will be doing a bunch of reading to find out as much info as possible…

I think the phone is a mash up of many current and passed phones. The outer rim, is reminiscent of the iPhone 5s. The back is similar to some garbage pathetic junk Lumia.
The front is similar to a Samsung or Redmi.

Basically, I feel as though Nokia made an Android version of the iPhone 5s, with the size of the iPhone 7.

At $245, I think it is very reasonable.
I read about the snapdragon 430 and it seems rather good. Helping it, is clearly the 4GB of RAM.

Also, if you look at the middle part of that video, it shows sound waves coming out of the bottom, and I believe the headset earpiece as well. I think it doubles up kinda like the iPhone 7.

I honestly would have loved a different looking back. I hate and despise anything that has to do with Windows phone and Lumia (due to what they did to Nokia)

I will read more posts and get back to you there.

I meant to write iPhone7 plus

there was a company back then who was blamed as beancounter – story didn’t go any good 😉

lets’s hope they do not want to use this name too long if everything goes well… 😀
