Video: Nokia Smart Home: Making life simpler and better

| January 26, 2017 | 16 Replies

A cute little video that shows how Nokia Smart Home solutions can be used to keep an eye and look after your elderly loved ones whilst you’re not around. It seems to promote the energy of the individual but update the relative or designated person for things like detection of something burning, like their food. I guess if you have other vulnerable people (e.g. kids) these would be useful too.

So, in a minute, some random Android handset can sell out in the millions! They have a flash sale and the entire inventory is depleted. But a multi billion dollar company that has been around for decades, can’t even sell a million phones in months, with world wide distribution…

    Numbers don’t lie!

For all that say symbian was slow, didn’t support dual core, couldn’t get 4G, and what ever other nonsense lies and conclusions you can come up with, the following article released on 1/27/2017 proves my point and hopefully it gets drilled into the minds of all that supported or continue to support Windows Mobile operating system that it is true junk. The world hates it… The world never hated symbian.

They could have kept it for feature phones or made it work somehow…

I’m assuming that new findings in April will hopefully reveal what we all already know… That Windows Mobile on cell phones is completely dead, or the market share has dropped to less than .1% or less! As it stands, I believe it is less than .3% world wide, meaning people who have symbian phones (like me) and basic feature phones, out number people with Windows.

The true burning platform is Windows, and it never was symbian. Symbian was an operating system made in Europe. No cloud nonsense! No background stuff. No recording your voice and activating your camera without you knowing, and sending stuff to some US government agency. It was safe. Now, all three operating systems are made by the US. Android (which is the only viable choice for people who love symbian and Nokia), Apple (for people who loves wasting time and distracting themselves with nonsense), and Windows (which is dead, pathetic horrible junk, that the world hates)…

    Numbers don’t lie.
    Right Jay?

So… For all those that see Nokia as an innovative company, things like this and buying withings, etc, makes sense. Technology + the future = make daily life easier/better.

For others that think Nokia should have gone with Windows instead of Androidin 2012 and then defended them in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, here are some cold hard facts!

For all the people who turned their backs on symbian and blindly adopted Windows Mobile:

(GSM arena link not able to be attached)

People around the world have cumulatively realized what a junk pathetic horrible garbage and handicapped operating system Windows is, and the numbers don’t lie! No one likes it! No one wants it! (Although having it on a desktop or laptop or tablet is okay, since it is the de facto standard. But on cell phones, it is utter garbage!)

So, they say burning platform on an operating system that was mature and stable and reliable and battery efficient and wonderful, with tens of millions of people using it and loving it and wanting it to remain. How come that devil man diarrhea as a child two faced scum bag elop doesn’t come and say that symbian was truly ahead of its time and that after FIVE FULL YEARS, Windows was and is the real burning platform?!! This operating system is a failure from the start!

Nokia had a huge following and the majority have detected to Android! Not Windows!

What a shame what happened to symbian!
We were forced to accept Microsoft as opposed to maintain and keep and modify and update the wonderful amazing symbian

I’m just upset with the fact that symbian no longer exists and we’re forced accept operating systems made in the US.

a small torch is still giving some light for the ones lost in Deep, Dark Nordic Forests… πŸ˜‰

Let’s hope neither The Big Bear of Taiga, nor the Dreadful Dragon of Raising Sun will put it off but use it for igninting all the platforms to be burn! πŸ˜‰

    • We can’t change Nokia’s decision πŸ™

they could not keep Symbian alive together with WP, not even for ‘feature’ phones.

it would be more featureful than wp for more than a year – marketing department would commit sepuku… πŸ˜‰

Nokia had the perfect plan – Qt as dev. platform for Meego at the top, Symbian/Meltemi in the middle and even for s40.

but the geniusgeneral ‘didn’t believed’ in it but wp.

we bever know how original plan would work but it could not be any worse than other. except m$ would not buy device devision in case of failure…

        • WhatsApp still works on S40 and has stopped working on WP 7.8 LOL and the reason is there are more active symbian users then all Windows users combined. Just imagine Nokia today if Stephen Elop never became the CEO of Nokia.
Nokia still the King of Mobile phones. LG, HTC, SONY, SAMSUNG are making huge loses lol and even apple is struggling to compete with Nokia as people are bored of same iPhone designs again and again πŸ˜›
Nokia announces flexible smartphones running on Meego. (they always were ahead of their time so its obvious that they would have already launched it by now :P)
I don’t know if iOS and Android would have survived lol so i am not assuming anything about them πŸ˜›

          • zlutor

s40 is not symbian but feature phone os – like Nokia ashas, and other. s stands for system here not symbian. s30 is the os of current Nokia feature phones (inhouse, basic phone os developed by Nokia for decades)
