Gallery: A Nokia 3310 tear down – Back cover removable (only) #TA1008

The Nokia 3310, like the classic, has a removable back cover. It’s quite a solid fit when the cover is stuck on the device. The original classic could completely change the front fascia too – I remember there were so many different cover styles that could try and mimic other designs. When my 7210 died, I tried a 7210 esque cover. It looked like a 7210 that had a few too many pies! haha.

Here’s the battery, a BL-4UL. Despite the fact that the battery is only a 1/3 of what you might expect in a new phone from 2017, this managed 22 hours talk time and a month of standby. A perfect emergency phone.

I was excited to see Finland written in somewhere. Ideally it would have said ‘Made in Finland’ just like the classic 3310. That would have been epic.

This is the Ta1008 (previously labelled on some sites as being Android powered). Haha, what if this was an Android Nokia UI skin :p
