Anssi Vanjoki resigns from Nokia – will we have any Nokia Execs left for Nokia World?

I thought it was a joke when I was reading my twitter feeds. Top Nokia Execute, THE Anssi Vanjoki has resigned from Nokia. Anssi was the most charismatic of the Nokia Execs. He spoke openly and honestly, with much passion not only of Nokia’s achievements, and future goals but also of their short comings. It is a sad day to hear that he is going, especially so soon just before Nokia World.

Did Anssi apply for the top job which we know now is taken by a non-Fin, MS-Exec, Mr Stephen Elop? Is there going to be much more transformation at Nokia than the recruitment of Canadian Born Elop?

Anssi Vanjoki (As well as being famous for once getting the most expensive speeding ticket) Nokia’s executive vice president in charge of the Mobile Solutions unit, responsible for the company’s portfolio of mobile computers, smartphones and the services business.
