Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 available in Brazil

Hey folks, just catching up with today’s news after a very busy thursday (Uni, house hunting in Preston, MSF meeting and fixing my darn Acer).
I got tweeted this morning that the Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 were available to buy in Brazil. The 710 available for R$999 and the 800 available for R$1699. That seems quite expensive to me, direct conversion that means £350 for the 710 and £589 for the 800! Am I reading the prices wrong? (I have got a major headache right now so I might have read something wrong).
