Nokia’s PureView – Gizmodo gets it
It wasn’t that long ago after the Nokia 808 PureView launch that Gizmodo (Australia)Â Â completely missed the point on what PureView was about – feeling it was marketing gimmick and that Nokia were simply ‘redefining the stupidphone’. But they were quick to admit they were wrong and just yesterday after trying it out first hand appeared to be blown away.
Gizmodo is on a roll right now trumpeting great technology when they hear about it, in a piece that thankfully takes the time to explain what PureView is about.

If Nokia can deliver results that are worth it, I think people can be willing to compromise on size. I mean, look at the SG Note. Obscene at first launch but now defining this ‘phablet’ for people who want that additional functionality in their phone. Why not have a slightly thicker phone at one end to always have that amazing camera and capture all those priceless memories with you?
Gizmodo notes that Nokia will be making slimmer devices with PureView. not necessarily in this combination (41MP) but the same underlying technology to deliver the highest quality in mobile imaging.
Here’s to Nokia, truly trying to deliver innovation that matters to the consumer. It’s not about just having bigger numbers, but really it’s all about giving the consumer the best audio/visual experiences – the highest photo quality – improvements where it counts.
