Although we’ve talked about Nokia Transit/Transport many times before, I must admit that I haven’t actually used it up until just now.
Crickey! It’s so useful! Although I’m coming up to my third year as a Manchester Medic, it’s only my first year in my base hospital at Preston so I don’t really know this city that well. Nokia Drive/Nokia Maps has been useful at getting me from A-B when either walking/driving but now Nokia Transit can get me about on the public transport here.
I just gave it a quick go and it tells me precisely where I am and the journey, and from where I need to go it says where I need to walk to get the bus stop, what bus number I should take, where to get off the bus, and any other buses I need to take. There’s a button to set navigation on and you’re good to go.
I feel like I just need one central hub of location stuff though so I have the option of not having to go through separate apps if I just want to get from Here to There.
