Nokia Music+ Now Available in Australia
Over the weekend, my Lumia 820 got an update for Nokia Music, which I noticed included an option to subscribe to Nokia Music+, for AUD$4.99. Yesterday, Nokia Australia confirmed the rollout in a press release (below).
In case you don’t know, Nokia Music+ has several benefits over regularly Nokia Music, including:
- infinite skips
- unlimited offline mixes
- lyrics
- listen to Nokia Music via PC/Tablet

Sydney, Australia – 26 March 2013. Nokia today launches Nokia Music+, a new subscription-based music service for Lumia users for AUD$4.99 per month.
Nokia Music+ builds on the existing Nokia Music Mix Radio service allowing users to access a wide number of playlists curated by an expert team of musos and international artists.  Nokia Music+ also introduces features like infinite skips.
Other features of Nokia Music+ include:
·         the ability to download unlimited mixes for offline playback
·         the option to select higher quality audio when connecting via Wi-Fi or through your network
·         access to lyrics for those impromptu karaoke sessions
·         the ability to listen and enjoy via Internet-enabled devices including PC or tablet
Nokia Lumia users can upgrade to Nokia Music+ from their handset by selecting ‘Nokia Music’ from the main file menu, click on ‘Settings’ and there will be an option to ‘Upgrade’. You can select ‘Nokia Music+’ to activate the subscription then click on ‘Mix Radio’ to start downloading your playlists.
Users interested in trying out the new service can sign up for a free seven day trial.
There’s more good news for Lumia and Windows Phone 8 users. Pandora, a new personalised radio app, is now available in the Windows Phone Store.
Pandora is a free, personalised radio that lets you play music and comedy. Users simply need to start with the name of their favorite artist, song, comedian or composer and Pandora will create a custom station that plays similar tracks.
Pandora is ad-free, for free only on Windows Phone 8 until the end of 2013.
