Nokia Lumia 720 arrives in Australia from April 4
Nokia Australia sent out a press release earlier today (sadly I was at uni so I couldn’t post it at the time) detailing their plans for the Lumia 720 to start being available from April 4. The handset will be sold at a Recommended Retail Price of AUD$429, (it is typically lower when it actually is released) and be available on contract through Vodafone and Virgin Mobile. Pricing for those contracts will be released by the carriers soon.
Virgin Mobile will be having the devices as of Thursday (April 4) with Vodafone releasing dates in the coming weeks. If you’re more of a person who prefers buying outright and not on contract, the device will be sold through “leading retailers” (generally Allphones, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi) starting from April 10th.
I’ve reached out to Nokia for a review unit, so hopefully I’ll be able to bring you guys my thoughts and feelings on this budget, but extremely capable handset soon. In the mean time, Ali has a video from MWC 2013Â and a collection of hands on from others, that you can check out.
Press release is as follows:
Nokia introduces the Lumia 720 to Australia
-Slim, lightweight design and high-quality camera define latest mid-range smartphone-
Â
Sydney, Australia – 2 April 2013. Nokia today added the Nokia Lumia 720 to its growing Lumia line-up.
Nokia’s latest mid-range smartphone will be available from Vodafone, Virgin Mobile and leading retailers for a RRP of AUD$429*.

The Lumia 720 is super-slim – only 9mm thick – and weighs just 128g and comes in a range of colours including black, white and red.
