WP grows 165% Year on Year, Fastest growing major OS, all due to Nokia (95% of WP)

A couple of sources have been looking at the smartphone numbers and shows that WP is indeed making some great progress. ABI Research shows WP growing 165% year on year thanks to Nokia which is now making 95% of all WP devices shipped.

Strategy Analytics points out that for the first time, there has been over 10M WP shipped in one quarter. doubling the marketshare from 2 to 4% year on year. According to their findings, this shows a 178% growth year on year making it the world’s fastest major smartphone OS. This growth is attributed to Nokia’s steadily improving Lumia portfolio across Europe, Asia and America.
