The Lumia That Never Was; The Lumia 719C
Earlier today @evleaks tweeted out about the “Lumia 719C” with the images above and the caption “The long-lost Nokia Lumia 719C”. Â The 719C appears to be a mid range phone coming between the Lumia 710 and the 800 (as the name would suggest), it has a similar build to the 710, with the same physical set of WP keys (something no WP8 Lumia has) and a similar plastic body with removable back covers. The 719C looks a lot like a mix between the Lumia 610 (which I had blessedly forgotten existed for a while) and the 710; however it does remind me of the first Nokia Windows Phone concepts and mock-ups we saw as well:
From the naming it’s probably safe to assume that the 719c was headed to China, to help give more options for users there; as the original Lumias were said to be a huge hit in the country, but alas that obviously never happened. Regardless it’s still nice to see some of the phone’s Nokia had in their pipelines once upon a time.
