N900 Panoramic Photo Gallery Samples with Morpho QuickPanorama [Image Heavy!]

When I wrote about Morpho QuickPanorama App for the N900, I said I’d get some sample shots taken during the day for you guys to see the super quick image processing producing not just panoramic photos but 1080 degree photos and beyond (I don’t know what the limit is, but it’s really cool that you can create a full 360 degree photo and do it over and over on the same image – these are the most narrow ones in this batch sample…)

• I had 10 mins before my meeting so I didn’t take time to compose these shots, just whipped N900 out, switched QuickPanorama on and tilted N900 to the right
• Very quickly and easily you can achieve great panoramic photos. Just pan to the right>view panorama>save or retry.
• The initial part of shot seems to be either over/under exposed in some pictures – I guess you could crop that out.
• I have not yet worked out which is the “optimum turning speed” to pan right as it handles me moving very slowly or moving fast extremely well.
• It works with turning about on a point or moving to the right – but images turning on a point come out better (see chocolate bar photos)
• The joins are pretty much invisible, except for some light changes, the detail from one photo is seamlessly stitched to another
• Really nice results, gives you a whole new perspective on scenes you might see daily but never see like this (like the library shot…very Harry Potter esque in the main Building)
• My old estate agent would love this. They have all sorts lenses on their cameras to make houses/rooms much bigger than what they actually are.
