Weekend Watch: Gaming on the Nokia Lumia 635
Dear MNB Readers!
Welcome to another edition of Weekend Watch! For this episode, our focus (pun from picture above) is on Games or specifically, gaming on the Nokia Lumia 635. Some readers are rightfully concerned with the gaming potential of the $99 no contract Lumia 635 as it only has 512MB of RAM to stuff in the OS and all open applications and services. Fortunately, more games are being optimized to be compatible with devices that have 512 MB of RAM and newer processors make those games look and run at higher frame rates than ever before.
The Lumia 635 is powered my a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor and here are the overall benchmark results from the free Basemark OS II Free app.
Pretty good results for a no contract device that can be bought for $99 USD or less eh? No? Well, this is Weekend Watch so I will let the video do convincing….or not.
In my humble opinion, the Nokia Lumia 635 offers great gaming performance for all compatible titles due to the 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 pushing the graphics and crunching the numbers. It is definitely an improvement over the Lumia 520 that has led the sales lead in Windows Phone devices. What sayest thou, dear MNB readers? Are you surprised at the gaming and overall performance of the Lumia 635? What is your opinion of new devices being released with 512MB RAM?
Are there any other games that you would like to see demonstrated? Let me know and I will TRY (due to time constraints) to make a video, give you credit for your suggestion in the video and post the video in this article.
As always, thank you for choosing MyNokiaBlog and have a great weekend!
