“Hey Cortana” always on voice activation for Nokia Lumia 1520/930/Icon For Lumia Denim and SensorCore

One of the features that Ali and I are most looking forward to in the new update is the always on Cortana that you can activate Cortana by saying “Hey Cortana”. No need to press a button which makes the experience a little more fluid (like OK Google on select handsets).

The new “Hey Cortana” feature available will also come to the Lumia 1520, Lumia 930 and Lumia Icon, allowing you hands-free access to Cortana, waking up your most helpful digital assistant with just the sound of your voice calling out “Hey Cortana”.

Ali notes that that it might need a combo of 1GB and sensor core since the 635/630 were omitted from the compatibility list.
