Screen Shot 2014-10-05 at 12.48.31There’s reports of Microsoft being awarded a patent for “Anti-Shake Correction System for Curved Optical Sensors”.

MS’s OIS attempts to overcome the challenges faced by conventional optically stabilised photos.

It wasn’t clear from the summary what the advantages were, though it may provide higher quality, better focused images.

With regards to PureView patent, those are still Nokia owned and licensed by Microsoft right? But anything else patented with the Nokia D&S/MS Mobile team are now Microsoft’s only?

It would also be cool to see MS working more closely with patent friend, Canon.

Cheers Alvester for the tip!
