Nokia Lumia 920 in Gold?

| May 15, 2014 | 5 Replies

Classy or tacky? There’s a recent resurgence of gold coloured phones. Nokia has of course, been there and done that with so many various options to choose from, not least the old subsidiary, Vertu. Some pictures have appeared of what looks like a gold Nokia Lumia 920. It looks expensive in some pictures but in […]

Microsoft’s book for 20,000 Nokia employees made prior to takeover to celebrate their rich histories

| May 15, 2014 | 18 Replies

A rather intriguing article over at TheVerge reveals the existence of a ‘secret’ book that Microsoft made prior to the Nokia ‘takeover’. Going to 20,000 Nokia employees in 90 cities over 53 countries, this 128 page book, aptly named ‘One’ details the rich histories of the two companies. MS CEO, Nadella apparently even went to […]

LeakyLeak: Codename Nokia ‘RoadRunner’ inbound says @evleaks

| May 15, 2014 | 17 Replies

@evleaks tweeted that there’s something called the Nokia Roadrunner inbound. Why ‘Road Runner’? Something to do with being super fast? It’s the fastest bird in North America (on the ground).  They’re also pretty badass. Check this NatGeo video (in link, not YouTube clip) showing a roadrunner being attacked by a rattlesnake and the roadrunner deciding, no, I’ma […]

Developer Preview WP8.1 gets an update!

| May 14, 2014 | 4 Replies

This is pretty neat. WP8.1 developer preview has an update. The Windows Blog says you guys who have been downloading it have given great feedback on what can be improved. One month later, MS are rolling that out in build 8.10.12382.878. I’m not sure what exactly they’ve done as they don’t clarify any changelog but a […]

Video: Nokia Treasure Tag Song

| May 14, 2014 | 3 Replies

A promo for the Nokia Treasure Tag features a specially written jingle to sing what it’s about. I’ve already attached my wallet and keys via a case and wrist strap to my Nokia Lumia 1520 but I can sure still do with one of these to find items I may often misplace.

Competition for 1520? Phablet WP8 from LG

| May 13, 2014 | 2 Replies

LG returns to the fold with this device that appears to have very little bezel. Leaked via @evleaks, the bottom has no buttons, much like the WP8.1 Nokia Lumia 630. In a way it caters for those people who like minimal bezels, but also the people who don’t want the buttons so close to the […]
