Free Application: DivX player for S60 gets updated
…and for Symbian UIQ, Windows Mobile PocketPC and Windows Mobile Smartphone…
The free .avi/.divx/.xvid player version of the popular SmartMovie from LCG, receives an update. Worthwhile using one of these players if you intend on storing high quality clips without taking huge chunks out of your memory card.
This version has the audio peroll time that Smartmovie had that will allow you to manually sync the audio to the video (should your file need it).
Version 0.89 new features:
- Restructured menus and softkeys
- New file browser with thumbnail previews
- Manual adjustment available for A/V synchronization
There are some known problems
- Motorola Q phone has improper screen orientation
- Sony Ericsson W950 switches audio randomly between headset and speaker
- UIQ 3.0 phones turn the backlight off during playback
- Windows Mobile phones with slide out keyboards distort screen orientation

is it realy free ….. i mean did this play only for some time then damands for Lic. key or some thing to play more…..is it so ….or its realy free
It’s free. However, DivX updates the S60 player often, and when it needs updating you have to download the latest copy to continue using it.
Installed on Nokia E63, working fine. Seek function doesn’t seem to work though – any ideas how to?

you can use core codec 1.3.0 version it plays even .flv,.mp4,jpg,3gp,avi etc its best

You actually make it seem really easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually one thing which I think I might never understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very wide for me. I am having a look forward in your subsequent publish, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
