Free S60 5th Edition "Game": Dice throwing for the 5800

| April 25, 2009 | 2 Replies

The author of this first application admits its not very useful, but as you can see from the video below, it demonstrates the sensitivity of the 5800’s accelerometer. It actually works OK too as a replacement for a dice, with motion sensor dependent rotation and fairly good animation for three hours of work.

Here’s an alternative dice throwing application; there’s no visuals of the dice moving as you assume that happens under the box. You do get an animated slide cover, plus the phone vibrates as you shake the box. Because there’s two (and you can put more) die, you can actually use this in place of real die, i.e. in a board game like monopoly.
