Whilst at the Nokia Flagship Store, I noticed these black and silver BH-905s! I’ve been looking forward to seeing one of these for real sine its announcement earlier in June. I barely spent any time with it as the security guard was giving me funny looks, and going “Can you see what the price of this is?” like I shouldn’t even be touching them since they were too damned expensive.

I can’t say anything about sound quality/noise cancellation as I didn’t get to test that out. (If there’s anyone at Nokia willing to send over a pair for testing 🙂 hehe) They are however very comfortable!

Another thing I’ve been dying to see was how these BH-905 looked on a person. Photos of headphones/bluetooth devices  are almost always missing what they actually look like when a person uses it. To me, this is annoying as based on photos of devices only, it’s sometimes difficult to ascertain how they would precisely fit on your head – some headphones/earphones have random bits sticking out you’d never expect from device photos alone.

There were some official press shots of the BH-905 but the models they used looked somewhat inappropriate for this premium product.

Here’s a couple of alternative photos using WOMWorld’s Robbie. (Taken very quickly with the N82). They’re not the best shots by far, but already (for me at least) the BH-905s appear to sit right with Robbie unlike the other two above.

Career in modelling for Robbie? haha 🙂

[BTW – the wire is for security. You can however get wires for the BH-905s to plug into a range of ports, either for devices that don’t have bluetooth or if you want to save some battery life.]

I don’t know anything about marketing, I just know what I like. Perhaps with the original press shots, Nokia could include an advertisement shots. Something with similar appeal of high fashion adverts (that based on a single ‘photo’ makes it very desirable to the eye), but with a technology twist. Check out the photo below with a Jawbone product.
