Video: 9 minute hands on with the Nokia N8 – hmmm…

Here’s yet another Nokia N8 video hands on during Nokia Connections in Singapore by mobiqueee. This probably isn’t something I should highlight (as a Nokia fan blog) but this video shows some stability problems that we haven’t yet seen on all the other video hands on posts we’ve talked about (and will hopefully NOT be there in retail N8).
It may be worth also pointing out the N8 is still 7 weeks away release and is still undergoing tweaks (with most likely the demo handsets not having the latest firmware for that day) and reiterate that we haven’t seen this error in other demoes.
- At 00:40 mark we get a low memory error when trying to open a video! (6 apps open…we’ve seen it handle 15 on earlier firmware – though not doing similar tasks). This was with the first (blue) handset. They later switch to a black one
- Social networking app that integrates both your facebook and twitter feeds looking clunky (and not a fan of that keyboard which is similar to Maemo 5 PR1.2 maybe it’ll take time adjusting to it)
- At 6:30 the black N8 crashes when going to video mode. And again until they close all other apps -_- This is not a RAM issue I don’t think as I used to get this on previous Nokia devices even without other open apps.
