Video: Maemo 5 Android theme for the Nokia N900

| June 20, 2010 | 6 Replies

I don’t normally show case themes but I really like this Android theme for the Nokia N900. It doesn’t make your N900 appear like Android, but just picks of on hints of the design.

  • It changes up the bookmark icons on the homescreen so the edges of the rectangles are rounded, plus the title bar is separated.
  • Also the multitask windows are flattened at the bottom but curved at the top.
  • The general colour scheme is also quite nice with a blurry bokeh style background that I actually wouldn’t mind keeping (normally I choose my own wallpapers)

You can download it FREE from the App Manager. You may need extras testing/extras devel application catalogues. CLICK Here to find out how to add them on to your N900

Have you guys tried the sky theme ?

    • Is that the same as the “Blue Sky” theme? Just tried that one thanks 🙂 I really like it – new icons and transitions.

I hate bright orange wich is a trouble with many of the themes which are otherwise great. I faind the default theme nice to use and just change the backdrop to Word City which omes with the phone.

Also, when are they going to start controling where people submit themes to. Are they system or desktop downloads? Someone please decide and get people to move all the themes over. Better still a dedicated Themes area in the repository.

Also, does anyone know if any of the themes use a lot more power? I tried one of the D-Themes a while back and am not sure if it was just coincidence that my battery would not last a day until I got rid of it.

  • works on nokia 5800 ?
