Video: Nokia N900 and Maezer – Accelerometer Maze game for the Nokia N900

| July 6, 2010 | Comments (0)

Maezer is an app created by Blaizzen (from talk.maemo.org) for the Nokia N900 that uses the accelerometer to move a ball across a 2d maze.

I prefer this to the more glamorous accelerometer type maze games as it’s less about the skill of moving the phone at the appropriate time and angle (and such loosing view of the ball) but actually about navigating the maze (the former are often extremely easy)

Installation info at talk.maemo.org/… It’s not even in extras devel yet so you can’t just download from app manager (and so usual warnings apply)

Boring as it does not implement any sort of physics and instead only detects which way (of the four) the phone is tilted and moves the ball in that direction at a constant speed (depending on angle). It would be much better for playability if actual gravity and Newton II were applied for the ball.
