New Nokia C6-01, C6 with 8MP camera and Dual LED flash
I read about this last night but was much too sleepy to blogpost. This apparently below is the 8MP, dual LED flash version of the Nokia C6 – THE C6-01.

The difference is that the back has now become a little uglier (personal opinion) with the C6-01 (left) looking a little fatter. I’m not sure the actual dimensions. Now, how the heck is this meant to be a reduction of the portfolio if Nokia will just keep making variants of the same phone months of each model’s existence?
Well this quick upgrade will give the C6 a little bit more longevity. Will it be sold in the same markets as the original (E.G. X5)? Will this replace the original? I don’t know there hasn’t been an official launch of this handset, the image might possibly be a mix up with an early proto.
If they were to co-exist, would it not be confusing if the only moniker change is the addition of 01.

Just can’t ! It’s like the C6 so S60 5th edition.
Agreed, instead of making variants, they should utilize the time amd effort to come up with a better and different phone. C6 was fine the way it was. I guess they just made a variant to put in an upgraded Hardware (processor and RAM must have been upagraded along with the camera too) and Symbian^3
I think the C6-01 looks much better for some reason. And, is that a different material on the back? Metal!?!
Not sold in US. Looks like a great phone. Is it very different from N97 mini?
n97mini still better..c6 no 8gb internal memory, no compass, too heavy and its design looks like too cheap… n97 mini great design alluminium ,8gb ,compass and now price is low comparable to the c6…

why nokia feel the need to update the we browser?
Why nokis does not put the maps data into the oi store for those who do not own pc?

Nokia default web browser in Symbian is Rubbish.

Nokia are paying attention, it’s just a matter of time.
I don’t know why but the C6 has always been an ugly phone to me, and having the same phone with slightly different naming variants will make people a little confused I think the normal C6 isn’t even out yet. Time would be better spent fixing Ovi rather than developing the same phone with minuscule differences. I THOUGHT NOKIA WHERE SUPPOSED TO RELEASE LESS PHONES THIS YEAR WTF NOKIA !!!!!
Out of all the upcoming C-series phones the C6 caught my fancy the most because to me it’s like the 5800XM with a physical keyboard. This combination equates to simply Kick Ass.
I hope they decide to only sell this 8MP version.
