DSLR Canon 550D versus Nokia N8

Vaibhav Sharma previously from the Symbian Blog now rebranded The Handheld Blog (to accommodate MeeGo) has put his 18MP Canon 550D DSLR against the Nokia N8. I’ve been looking forward to such a comparison.
Vaibhav says the results may surprise. Within the shootout he notes on occasion,
“If I didn’t label these images, you would be stressed to tell which was which.”
The full sized images are available here (uploaded by Vaibhav)
Thanks to ruhtinas for the heads up

lol, you can tell by the name of the pic.
)))
Not everyone would mouseover their pointer to the pictures. I think its great!
That’s why he said “if” he didn’t label :p.
In certain pictures I thought it was the other way around (though the wider angle of the 550D makes it slightly more obvious what it is)

This comparison is ridiculous. It´s like to compare a Ferrari with a Skoda based on the time it takes to go to A to B with both.
Its a worth while comparison,
Lets face it I dont want to carry a DSLR around with my all the time, but I’d carry the N8
This again shows, that Engadget if full of shit with its N8 & iPhone 4 image comparison. I’m seriously suspecting faul play. Gizmodo already showed that in their ridiculous video. Do they really see N8 that much of a threat to their beloved iPhone? Or do they just hate Nokia? Or both? Whatever the case, it’s really pathetic.
A TV channel in my country did a small photo comparison between N8, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire, iPhone 4 and Panasonic Lumix point and shoot. They made large prints of the photos and compared them. N8 was the best and iPhone 4 the worst.
As usual the answer rests in the eye of the beholder
