| January 10, 2011 | 3 Replies

Remember that cool Flickr app that we saw towards the end of December? Well a lot of work has gone into it and there’s been an update:

QuickFlickr is starting to get closer to the first set of features which will be in QuickFlickr 2.0 Alpha version. This video demonstrates almost all the features that QuickFlickr will have, when it’ll be released. So if you are interested in to try it out and give us feedback, you are more than welcome to help us.

The alpha version is available for testing now. You can download it from:

The UI on this looks pretty dreadful. All the pseudo stacking of photos seems like complexity for complexity sake. And the whole metophor breaks down when you flick to another page of images and the preceding page flys away in on big chunk. This developer should take a look at androids default photo viewer that is hooked into their picasa web service for an example of the stacking photo metaphor done well.

@meggman Thanks for this feedback and point taken. It’s impossible to satisfy everyone so therefore people has a freedom of choice to not to download the app and use it.

What is wrong with you? I’m using android phone. The interface of the android image browser is veeery simple. This application is much more interesting.
