Nokia C7 T-Mobile Tiger to come with PR2.0?
@Chilko, Pradeed and Glenn has informed us that the rumoured Nokia C7 on T-Mobile (the one to be called Tiger) is to be sold with PR2.0 out of the box.
@Chilko has sent a screenshot from Navifirm which shows release 20.37 for the T-Mobile US Nokia C7 – AKA RM691 (World C7 is RM675)
We’ve zoomed in and cropped together the important details. Release 20.37, for Nokia RM691, C7 for T-Mobile USA.
OK now what about everyone else waiting for PR2.0? Not to mention those who still haven’t got PR1.1. And then there’s the UI overhaul for PR3.0

I now downloaded the firmware RM-691_020.037_313.01_ from navifirm and now want write it on my c7-00 rm-675. after all I will write about results.
You do realise that the hardware may be slightly different and damage your phone with that fw?
In theory, the hardware should still be the same since all symbian^3 devices are pentaband and we no longer have to worry about radio compatability. As always, every unnoficial installation is at our own risk.
C6-01 is not petaband is it?

Cool. Some much needed good news.
I don’t have pr1.1 on my N8 because after downloading 17 mb Ovi Suite claims that it can’t connect to service! I have tried it on 2 computers, and for some reason it’s only available through Ovi Suite. *#0000# doesn’t show the update, and the software update app only tells me to update via computer.
Have you tried Nokia Software Update for PC?
It usually works for me when the other two don’t.
I heard yesterday that the update will come out next month

That is not what I read on the link you posted…..
All I see is an article that stated what has been reported before, that some N8s/C7s have defective screens from early batches and has since been fixed.
That is entirely different from the statement that you made that the “display sucks”.
Your statement would lead people to believe that either the display is of low quality, low color, low clarity or low resolution and that would mean that every N8/C7 screen would “suck” due to Nokia chosing a low quality screen for their devices.
Which is SIMPLY NOT TRUE.
Yes there are defective units, every product made by man has a chance to have defects. What matters is what a company does to fix the issue and how it treats the customers.
Phone arena (and Eldar) is stating that if you have a N8/C7 with a defective screen, Nokia will issue you a screen replacement.
What is wrong with that? Would you rather Nokia ignore the issue and not replace anything?
It appears that you are saying the display sucks and not Phonearena or even Eldar.

PR2.0 is looking great! Thanks for the heads up. I see that this news has been submitted to the tips section so hopefully a post will be on the main page soon.
I can’t wait to get 2 Tmobile C7s to replace my daugters 2 Nurons. This is going to be a HUGE step up for them and now they can get a glimps of the Symbian^3 goodness that I have enjoyed on my N8. Funny thing is, depending on how quicky the C7-00.1 launches, my daughters may have a better version of Symbian^3 than I do!!!!
Too bad my wife already went for the G2 for it’s big screen and keyboard after the E7 delay.
Nokia should have been moving in this direction (release higher end devices in the US and worthy OS updates) a lot sooner and MWC could have had different headlines for Nokia.
One sentence rant: Nokia is so poor at hyping up it’s products!!!
