Video: Nokia E7 vs LG Optimus 2X vs Apple iPhone 4
Just wanted to give a heads up that the folks at PhoneArena have uploaded a video comparing the Nokia E7, LG Optimus 2X and iPhone 4. Whilst the latter two can be considered undisputed flagships of their brand – the E7 – is still part of the old Nokia brigade of diluting fantastic features across a range of devices. This means that in this test, the N8 would have probably flown the flag better for Nokia.
Compared are:
- Design/Build
- Screen
- Ports and “Camera”
- Interface/Homescreen/Widgets
- Browsing
- Camera and Camera Interface
- Video Recording
- Apps
- Typing
Oh dear.

they should have turned the brightness up on the E7, but no that would be too fair.
I thought the review was pretty fair. E7′s hardware is great but crippled by the decision to use a fixed focus camera (so document scanning is not going well).
And we all know about the non-competitive browser.
Compared to the Optima the E7 is one generation older, still Nokia thinks they can charge more than than the competition.
I found it amusing that there is not much going for the iPhone, other than its good looks. And as it goes many people prefer simplicity over functionality (see iPhone’s barebones camera app).
i think the E7 did well.. just wanted some brightness.. and a better browser.. wud have been good if PR 3.0 was already on it
No a Symbian phone can win over these heavyweight highend Android and iOS devices!
You need to use the E7. It’s not perfect but so many positives going for it. Although the new LG looks tempting, buying any mobile will have it’s pros and cons.
No way a Symbian phone can win over these heavyweight highend Android and iOS devices!
I just burst out laughing on your comment.
Android users cannot change the song from their remote controlled headsets……….they don’t give remote controlled headsets…….
I do not know if that applies to iOS as well…i think no
Well high-end Android and iOS has to do some catching
You must be kidding me! LOL!
Been a Nokia user for decades incl. the latest smart phone.
Unfortunately, I must conclude, Nokia sucks, big time, with slow operating system compared with leading iOS and Android.
After using iOS and Android phones, when going back to Nokia, it just looks and feels like a children’s toy, especially true when it comes to the argument of the operating system.
The end.
Comparing cars to mobiles for the feel, class & quality….
Android and iOS phones are like Lexus, BMW, Range-Rovers (high-class)
and Nokia…. well a Renualt, Dacia & Citroen more or less
