Video: How To: Redownload Applications from Ovi Store

| March 21, 2011 | 9 Replies

Nokia Support Videos have uploaded a slew of videos, this one showing how to re-download applications that you have already previously downloaded from Ovi Store.

You might need to do this if you:

  • Swap to a new (compatible) phone
  • format/hard reset your current phone. This might be down to you or one of the unfortunate handset related bugs (e.g. fails to start, requiring you to hard reset)
  • uninstall app and need to redownload

Instructions:

  1. Launch Ovi Store
  2. Sign in to your Account
  3. Select the application (find from “My Stuff” or you can find it manually)
  4. Click Download (hopefully it won’t ask you to repurchase)

Now I don’t know if Ovi Store still has that 5 re-download limit policy.

Could you please include a separate youtube link to videos on your posts, since Opera mobile on my N8 doesn’t show them.

  2. Kris says:

This is very annoying, if the price changes but you havent exceeded the 5 download limit, it also asks you to repurchase. I bought angry birds when it was 1st released for N8 and have only downloaded it once, but as it is now £1.50 instead of £3 it asks me to repurchase it

After a hard reset, I’am still having problems with that, I still have to pay for all my previously downloaded stuff :-(
