Live timing

The main timing screen lets you track the progress of every driver, from their position and best lap time to their latest sector times and lap count. Other features include a track status indicator, informing you of yellow/red flags and safety car phases, plus straight-line speeds and text commentary.

Circuit data

The circuit data screen lets you know what conditions the drivers are facing out on the circuit, with the current air and track temperatures, rainfall, air pressure and humidity levels, plus wind speed and direction. Graphs also allow you to see how conditions have changed throughout the session.

Results, News & Session Alerts

The app’s free push notification service alerts you when a Grand Prix session is about to begin, brings you session results, essential news, championship standings and more. This optional feature ensures you can stay in touch even when you don’t have the app open on your phone. (Currently only available on Apple iOS. Details on future platforms to be announced in due course.)

    • Mapantz says:

Totally agree, but i will stay up to watch them. lol
This is probably the best app i’ve used on my N8, in terms of providing the perfect data and fast, without it being complicated.

  2. Al says:

fantastic!! Can’t wait for the beginning of the season: sunday, sofa, F1 on TV and Live Timing on my Nokia. Life can’t be better. Forza Ferrari!!!

  3. Antonio says:

They’re developing in java for Symbian! This is usually bad because J2ME is a lot slower and blatantly ignores the device resources. Well, at least they’re releasing it, but it should have been native!

  4. Dimitri says:

No version for N900 though :(

  5. vlgr says:

Hopefully we can get one done in QT by the end of the Season. Can;t wait for the start on Sunday! This year will be a blast..

  6. Poooy says:

Was anyone able to exit the app other that through task manager?Couldnt find the exit option in the app…anybody?

    • nickem says:

There is no exit button but you can use App Stop or the menu key (long press) and then close the application. I sent already a mail to the Formula1.com about this. No answer yet.

  7. Zaxxx says:

Is there any moto gp apps?

  8. Nrde says:

Is this the same app as it was last year? It had problems with 5th edition mainly the logging in and using a custom input with that. Frustrating to try to login, after that it was ok.

    Live timing is nice.

    • Matt says:

How did you get around the login problem because my e-mail address contains an _ so I can’t input it on the login screen

  9. Chris says:

I used it for the 2nd practice session today at work. Works just fine and I love the interface. And I was notified that I’ll be on a business trip on Sunday for weeks, this app can’t come at a better time :D

  10. chris says:

i also have an _ in both my e-mail address. Anyone know a way round this? So frustrating!

  11. what the! says:

The F1 APP is no longer available at the Ovi Store…
what a joke! i’ve noticed many popular apps at the nokia store recently have been removed.

  12. Balu says:

I wish this app would soon be available for the Nokia N9.

  13. rd says:

Does anybody knows about a nokia (n8) version for 2012 season?
