Video: NFC BCARD Reader, Demoed on Nokia C7
Here’s another demo of the “secret” NFC chip in the Nokia C7. This time it uses an app called BCARD Reader, that would read NFC compatible business cards. No taking photos necessary (though you can’t really with fixed focus).
Details appear on the phone and you can add/edit these details.

C7 has fixed focus? Or?
Doesn’t use the camera to scan the cards, uses NFC chip embedded in the C7. This is the first app I know of that uses this technology in the C7.
does N8 has NFC?
Unfortunately not – only C7 for now.
And E7
No only C7 at the moment
Unless i totally missed something, he didn’t mention if you choose to add the info in to your phone’s contact list – surely that would be one of the more useful things for this to be able to do.
The new generation of business cards is available now.
A combination between the classic card and RFID technology makes it possible to import contact information into outlook/smartphones/excel within seconds using a smartphone app (comming soon) or a usb reader stick.
It is possible to order the new cards till now. (www.cardolution.com)
