Comedy ‘rumour’ hour: Murtazin to say MS will buy Nokia this year

Thanks to our hawkeyed readers that keep tabs on everything Nokia related and more we received a tip from dietyyli that the ever entertaining Eldar Murtazin tweeted that Microsoft is planning to buy Nokia’s mobile division, this year.

When, why and how this all will happen remains a mystery at this time, it’s just another one of those ‘rumours’ by mr. Murtazin that is more like throwing mud at a wall and see what sticks. Of course there could be some truth to it all, WP7 adopted as the primary OS, a former high-end Microsoftee brought in to iron out all creases and have Nokia ready for slaughter.

But on the other hand; what would MS want with the entire mobile division as mentioned? That encompasses S40 and all that as well, and that doesn’t seem to be of any interest to Microsoft. Apart from that, they already have a joint IP (Intellectuel Property, patents and sorts) deal. Then why have the hassle of manufacturing as well? Just to have more power? More ways to steer the rumoured ‘sinking ship’?

Whatever reason there is for this ‘rumour’ (low page views @ Mobile-Review?), in the current time and with information available its just a wild claim that has some potential of coming true. So what do you think: Truth or just the obvious piece of made up info?

If there is chance it might happen, what will happen to Nokia?
