Video: Short Nokia 500 hands on

| August 2, 2011 | 7 Replies

Yesterday, Nokia launched of one the four upcoming 1GHz Sisters, the first being the newest Anna handset (possibly the last new one, as the others are coming with dearest Belle) the Nokia 500. We kept new videos in that post that day.

Here’s like pics

One of the complains we saw in the video was the lag in a few places (one being Nokia Social, but that can’t be helped as that will always be poor until it is made in Qt)

Here’s another video where it looks a little better. Admittedly there are less things on show to compare.

The TFT LCD screen looks a little dull on camera (as most do) but should look more acceptable in person.

Cheers for the tip, SGuest

BTW, was anyone else familiar that the Nokia 500 already exists and is a Sat Nav? This is from 2008. Current Nokia Maps kicks the ass of this (I think it was around 2009 that Nokia Maps/Ovi Maps became legitimately usable on a phone, with N8 being just that wonder device for navigation)
